Miles Morin is a self-taught artist based in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is a Tidewater native and began oil painting while studying at the University of Virginia. His influences include Edgar Payne and the California plein air painters, French impressionists, Vincent Van Gogh, and Japanese printmaker Kawase Hasui.
