Tuckahoe Home is a full-service interior design firm located in Richmond, Virginia.

Caroline describes her style as traditional with a modern sensibility. While her designs are timeless and sophisticated, she aims to provide her clients with interiors that also feel welcoming and livable. Her designs combine natural textures with brighter colors and mixed prints. Caroline cites inspiration from neoclassical architecture, antique furniture, impressionist art, and nature. She always strives to balance the old and the new, incorporating antique and contemporary pieces into her projects.

Caroline is a Virginia native; she spent most of her childhood on the Eastern Shore of Virginia before attending college at the University of Virginia and graduate school at the College of William & Mary. Today she lives in Richmond with her husband, Marshall, daughter, Nellie, and Boykin spaniels, Crosby and Layla.

Tuckahoe is the region of Richmond, Virginia where Caroline resides. This area includes Historic Tuckahoe, an estate on the James River famed for being the boyhood home of Thomas Jefferson. The estate’s Georgian architecture and gorgeous English country gardens evoke the kind of timeless design that Tuckahoe Home seeks to honor in their projects. For Caroline, the name Tuckahoe embodies a sense of peace, an appreciation of nature and life’s simple pleasures, and the celebration of a slower pace of life - all qualities that she emulates in her design work.
